PHXMQG Helps Elderly Yarnell Hill Fire Victims

As you know, we have been asked to help provide quilts for the elderly victims of the Yarnell Hill fire. Much of the current Yarnell donations have been geared toward providing for the victims’ immediate needs, but our friends have asked for help with the winter months.

The quilt recipients will be folks who have been personally identified as needing blankets for the winter, and we will be giving the quilts to them specifically. We will not be dropping them off in a random donation center.

The PHXMQG is made up of creative, generous quilting artists, and we are proud of the reception that the project has already received. So, please look around your studio and dig out any supplies, fabric, batting, or gently used quilts that will help us provide quilts for the winter. After we deliver the quilts, any leftover supplies will be donated to Arizona Blankets 4 Kids.

Jacki and BJ will be collecting your donations at the August 17th meeting. Please help us help those who need it most. Thank you in advance for your generous support.
